These rules apply in the game, on the website and in the official community channels of OrientWar. By playing, you accept them.
Permitted automation alone is not a rule violation. Not answering while botting AFK is not proof of a violation either. However, you are responsible for the actions of your bot. A faulty configuration justifies neither spam nor bug abuse nor attacks on the server. Botting does not override existing game mechanics such as PvP, death, resource consumption and access restrictions.
Racist or other inhuman statements, targeted personal harassment, sexual harassment and real threats of violence are prohibited. Do not publish other people's private data. Objective criticism of the server or the team is allowed. Conflicts in the game do not belong in other players' private lives.
Character, guild and other publicly visible names must not contain hate messages, threats or targeted insults. Do not pretend to be a team member or another player in order to deceive someone. Names that are objected to may be changed.
Do not exploit errors to create items, money, experience or other advantages. This includes duplicating, bypassing cooldowns and manipulating rewards. Report errors you find to the team and do not spread instructions for exploiting them. Attacks on the server, deliberate crashes, unauthorised database access and manipulating network packets to get around game rules are prohibited. The bot permission does not allow any such interference.
Fights and competition for monsters are part of the game, as far as the configured game mechanics allow them. A running bot does not reserve a hunting ground and gives no claim to protection. Deliberately and permanently blocking central passages or functions is prohibited, for example placing characters only to make a necessary passage unusable. Normal tactical situations in combat are a different matter.
No flooding, repeated message spam or automated advertising spam. Use trade channels for offers and help channels for questions. Unsolicited advertising for other servers, phishing sites or harmful downloads is prohibited.
Protect your login data and do not pass it on to others. The team will never ask for your password. Account theft, phishing, faked payments and deliberately fraudulent trade offers are prohibited. Check items and amounts before you confirm a trade. A private trade promise is not a guarantee by the server team.
Report violations or errors to a team member through the support channels offered. If possible, give the character name, the time and a concrete description; screenshots or videos help. Do not publish passwords or private data when doing so. Invented evidence and deliberately false reports are prohibited. If you disagree with a decision, you can ask the administration to review it again.
Depending on severity and repetition, notices, warnings, chat bans, name changes or temporary or permanent account bans are possible. Advantages demonstrably gained through an exploit can be removed. Serious attacks or account theft can lead directly to a ban. Measures relate to the specific violation and are justified. Botting or AFK play alone is not punished.
The administration may update these rules. Significant changes are announced on the website and given a new date. Additional rules for individual events apply only if they are announced before participation.
